The History or Story Behind Our Club
Having been a runner for over 20 years I have seen the massive changes in our sport...some for the better like chip timing and now bib chip timing where the computer chip is in your number...no more untying a knotted up shoe at the end of a race when your already tighting up and couldn't even bend over and tie your shoes to begin with... and some changes for the worse...like exorbant race fees: $25 bucks for a 5K or $85 for a 1/2 marathon, I still remember when you could pay $5 bucks to run and you walked away with a t-shirt and a trophy! Now you know the history of why we olny charge $5 bucks to become an Official Old Fart Member!!!
